I've never seen BOOST as a place where I only came to get something as a newcomer: I was able to give at least that much. The longer I was there, I saw a lot of people walking around with questions that I could also answer.

Our place
In 2016 we started as a citizens' initiative – in line with the migration crisis in which negative images of people on the run predominated. We believed then – and still believe today – that open arms work better.
After a few moves, we have been living in our beautiful building on the Danie Theronstraat since 2017. We have our own gym, kitchen, classrooms, a library and a meeting room. The perfect place to facilitate meetings between old and new Amsterdammers.
Our team
BOOST runs on hundreds of participants, more than a hundred volunteers and a small team of freelancers who facilitate everything.
